Just leave the vinegar to sit for 3 hours. If you have particularly old or thick limescale you may want to let it sit for 5 hours.

Step 3: Scrub The Toilet Bowl

Now that the limescale has been soaking in vinegar it should have softened, making it easier to remove. Take your toilet brush and scrub off the limescale. You can also use a pair of gloves and a kitchen scourer if the limescale is very stubborn or in a place that the brush cannot reach.
